The reason the Government is in a position to take measures to address the consequences of the regional crisis are “the strong financial foundations, due to the responsible fiscal policy it follows,” Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis has said.
In statements to journalists, following the doxology at the Cathedral of St. Theodoros in Paphos on the occasion of the 1 April anniversary, when asked about the measures the Government is taking to address the energy crisis as part of the impact of the regional situation, the Spokesman said that the Government "is evaluating the data on a daily basis," in relation to developments.
“We are in the midst of a regional crisis whose duration, depth, and potential impact on energy prices or the cost of living are still unknown,” he noted.
