Manufacturing production, total area of building permits, total registrations of motor vehicles, consumer price index, total imports of goods and arrivals of tourists, are economic areas in which there was an upward trend in 2025, according to CySTAT.
CySTAT has announced the publication of the bimonthly bulletin 'Monthly Economic Developments' for the period January–December 2025. The bulletin includes the most important economic developments for the Cypriot Economy, for the latest months up to December 2025, as well as comparative data for the last four years, which were available until 16 February 2026.
Manufacturing production during the period January-November 2025 recorded an increase of 4.4% compared to January-November 2024.
The total area of building permits authorised reached 2,612.0 thousand square metres during the period January-October 2025, recording an increase of 30.7% compared to January-October 2024
The total registration of motor vehicles increased by 5.8%, reaching 52,508 during the period January-December 2025. Private saloon cars increased to 35,367, recording an increase of 3.2% and light goods vehicles increased to 4,959 recording a rise of 6.9% compared to January-December 2024.
The Consumer Price Index increased by 0.1% during the period January-December 2025, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The total imports of goods reached €13,551.8 mn during the period January–December 2025, recording an increase of 7.7% and total exports of goods reached €5,550.4 mn, recording also an increase of 7.0%.
Tourist arrivals reached 4,534,073 during the period January-December 2025, compared to 4,040,200 in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 12.2%.
