CCCI satisfied with Christodoulides' announcements on entrepreneurship

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) has expressed its satisfaction with the government's 59 actions for 2026, which are part of the overall planning for the third year of governance.

These actions, a CCCI announcement notes, include important initiatives that are directly related to entrepreneurship, economic development and strengthening the competitiveness of Cyprus.

The CCCI particularly welcomes policies related to:

  • Improving the business environment through targeted reforms and simplification of procedures that directly affect businesses.
  • Supporting investment and innovation, with actions that enhance digital transition, technology and the creation of new opportunities for outward-looking growth.
  • Initiatives to upgrade infrastructure, which constitute a crucial pillar for strengthening entrepreneurship, competitiveness and the attractiveness of the country as an investment destination.
  • Measures to strengthen the labour market and training, which strengthen human resources and cover important business needs.
  • Actions related to the green transition and energy security, factors that decisively affect the operating costs of businesses and sustainable development.

In its announcement, the CCCI emphasises that proper planning, consistency in implementation and effective monitoring of these actions are prerequisites for transforming government announcements into real benefits for businesses and the economy.

At the same time, it underlines that the successful implementation of the goals requires the collaboration of all stakeholders, the state, the business community and civil society, in order to create a stronger, more competitive and fairer economic and social framework.

"The CCCI remains at the forefront, offering technocratic support and cooperation with the aim of formulating policies that strengthen businesses, attract investments and improve the quality of life of citizens," the announcement concluded.
