For the period January-December 2025, the Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade is estimated to have recorded an increase of 6.1% and the Volume Index an increase of 7.9% compared to the same period of 2024, according to data published by CySTAT.
According to the data, the largest increase by value during this period was recorded in the category of Food, Beverages and Tobacco in specialised stores (14.5%).
The largest increase by volume was recorded in Clothing and Footwear (14.5%).
The Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for December 2025 increased by 5.8% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
For the same month, the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade increased by 8.9% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
