The new eProcurement System officially goes live on Tuesday, 3 February, marking “another significant step” in the implementation of the public procurement reform in Cyprus, the Treasury of the Republic of Cyprus has said.
According to the Treasury’s announcement, the new system (www.eprocurement.gov.cy), has been delivered within the planned timeframe, budget, and quality standards, “representing an important milestone in the modernisation of public procurement in Cyprus”.
At the same time, it notes, “it preserves and further strengthens the integrity and reliability of the existing system, which played a decisive role in the transition of public procurement into the digital era and fulfilled its mission with notable success”.
Through its implementation, the new system introduces a modern, integrated, and efficient digital environment, covering the entire public procurement cycle - from planning, procurement to contract management, it adds.
To support the continuous improvement of public procurement processes, it said, the new eProcurement System introduces new functionalities, including the Contract Management System that supports the comprehensive monitoring and management of contracts throughout their lifecycle, including milestones, payments, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators.
“It provides tools for managing multiple contracts and Economic Operators, document and project management, performance monitoring, reporting, and timely alerts for critical actions such as contract renewals”, it said.
