Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos will on Wednesday, 28 January, present the priorities of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union to the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) of the European Parliament, together with Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna.
According to an official press release, in the afternoon of the same day, Kombos will present the priorities of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU on the issues of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid to the Committee on Development (DEVE) of the European Parliament.
On Thursday, 29 January, the Foreign Minister will participate in the deliberations of the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC).
The Council's agenda includes, among others, Russian aggression against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, and the situation in the Great Lakes Region. The Foreign Ministers will also have an exchange of views with the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk.
During his stay in Brussels, Kombos will also have contacts with his counterparts, as well as with other officials.
