India considers Cyprus a close friend and reliable partner, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, noting that he is looking forward to welcoming President Nikos Christodoulides to India.
Modi was replying in the Greek language to a congratulatory message President Nikos Christodoulides wrote on the platform X on Monday, 26 January on the occasion of the country's Republic Day, who also said he will pay India a visit in May.
Modi replied on X, thanking President Christodoulides for "your warm wishes."
"Cyprus is a close friend and reliable partner and we are committed to deepening our current cooperation. I look forward with joy to welcoming you in India," Modi noted.
