The trade deficit in the first eleven months of the year recorded an increase. According to CySTAT, the trade deficit was €7,284.3m in January–November 2025 compared to €6,385.1m in the corresponding period of 2024.
CySTAT issued the foreign trade statistics for October (final data) and for November (provisional data).
November 2025, Provisional Data
Total imports of goods in November 2025 were €1,038.4m as compared to €1,161.4m in November 2024, recording a decrease of 10.6%. Imports from other EU Member States were €595.7m and from third countries €442.7m, compared to €657.5m and €503.9m respectively in November 2024.
Imports in November 2025 include the transfer of economic ownership of vessels, with total value of €10.0m as compared to €138.7m in November 2024.
Total exports of goods in November 2025 were €407.1m as compared to €382.9m in November 2024, recording an increase of 6.3%. Exports to other EU Member States were €106.5m and to third countries €300.6m, compared to €83.1m and €299.8m respectively in November 2024.
Exports in November 2025 include the transfer of economic ownership of vessels, with total value of €42.6m as compared to €55.5m in November 2024.
Total imports of goods in January–November 2025 amounted to €12,309.7m as compared to €11,195.9m in January–November 2024, recording an increase of 9.9%. Total exports of goods in January-November 2025 were €5,025.4m compared to €4,810.8m in January-November 2024, registering an increase of 4.5%.

October 2025, Final Data
Total imports of goods amounted to €1,153.8m in October 2025 as compared to €1,266.5m in October 2024, recording a decrease of 8.9%.
Exports of domestically produced products, including stores and provisions for ships and aircraft, were €247.7m in October 2025 as compared to €296.4m in October 2024, recording a decrease of 16.4%.
Domestic exports of industrial products, excluding stores and provisions for ships and aircraft, were €238.7m in October 2025 compared to €289.0m in October 2024. Domestic exports of agricultural products, excluding stores and provisions for ships and aircraft, were €7.8m in October 2025 compared to €6.1m in October 2024.
Exports of foreign products, including stores and provisions for ships and aircraft, were €143.3m in October 2025 as compared to €150.4m in October 2024, recording a decrease of 4.7%.
Main categories of exports of domestically produced goods for the period January-October 2025 (excl. stores and provisions for ships and aircraft), were mineral fuels and oils with value €2,000.8m, halloumi cheese with €309.7m and pharmaceutical products with €289.7m.
