The Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for November 2025 increased by 4.6% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
According to CySTAT, for the same month, the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade increased by 7.6% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
Among various categories, the Value Index for food, beverages, or tobacco in non-specialised stores (supermarkets) reached 142.2 points, recording an increase of 5.3% in November 2025 and 6.8% on an annual basis during the period January–November 2025. The Volume Index of Turnover in the same category increased by 8% in November and by 7.4% during the January–November period.
In food, beverages, and tobacco sold in specialised stores, the increase in the Value Index amounted to 17.4% in November and 14.6% during the first eleven months of the year. In the same category, the Volume Index of Turnover rose by 22.5% in November and by 13.8% during the January–November period.
In automotive fuels, the Value Index recorded a decrease of 5.8% in November and 2% during the January–November period, always compared with the corresponding periods of 2024. The Volume Index of Turnover in the same category decreased by 3.6% in November, while it increased by 2.8% during the January–November period.
The Value Index of Turnover in the clothing and footwear category increased by 4.8% in November and by 6.5% during the first eleven months of 2025. The Volume Index of Turnover in the same category rose by 14.1% in November and by 14.3% during the first eleven months of the year.
In pharmaceutical and orthopedic goods and cosmetics, the increase in the Value Index of Turnover in November 2025 amounted to 4.7%, and to 7.1% during the January–November period. The Volume Index of Turnover in the same category increased by 3% in November and by 5.2% during the first eleven months of the year.
