Foreign investors in Cyprus, members of the island’s international business community and other members of the entrepreneurial elite attended Invest Cyprus’ Festive Gathering, which took place under the auspices of First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulides.
Held at the 360 Tower in Nicosia, the evening was addressed by the First Lady as well as by Invest Cyprus Chairman Evgenios Evgeniou and CEO Marios Tannousis.
The happening also provided the members of the business community to network and mingle in a festive atmosphere as Invest Cyprus showed its appreciation for their investment in Cyprus and contribution to the island’s economy.
Speaking to the InBusiness TV camera, in the video below, Evgeniou notes, “One of the most important responsibilities we have at Invest Cyprus is that we are the point of reference for all foreign investors and foreign companies in Cyprus, to help them deal with any problems they may have but also to bring them closer to Cypriot society.”
He continued that, “Tonight provides just such an opportunity in the run up to Christmas and before the new year, to welcome foreign investors here, to thank them for their trust and thus create a warm climate before the holidays.”
“For the new year, I wish everyone good health and prosperity in our country,” Evgeniou concluded.
In her statements to the camera, Karsera Christodoulides says, “I am very happy to once again be at this wonderful Invest Cyprus event tonight, an event that aims to host, in a Christmassy spirit- as the holidays are approaching- people who are part of the business world, foreign investors who are in Cyprus.”
“The work of Invest Cyprus is very important, I congratulate them and I hope that they will continue in combination with the government’s very dynamic and extroverted foreign policy, and with an emphasis also on a strong and resilient economy,” she continues.
The First Lady also underlines, “It is very important to promote our country and its interests and to try in every way to attract foreign investment to Cyprus within a very friendly environment for both companies and their families. I would like to wish all the people of Invest Cyprus and of course everyone who strives daily to strengthen Cyprus in any sector, as well as all these businesspeople who are here tonight, health, strength and of course a new year full of successes.”
Karsera Christodoulides says this includes the businesspeople's own professional successes, “which I will call on them to transform, within the framework of corporate social responsibility, into an offering back to society and to Cyprus.”
In his statements to the InBusiness TV camera, Tannousis says, “As you know, Invest Cyprus is the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency. Our goal is to improve and develop the economy and create new jobs through foreign investments.”
He continues that, “Intention, facilitation and advocacy are the triptych of our terms of reference. So I believe that it (Invest Cyprus) contributes a great deal to the country's economy and ultimately acts as an assisting catalyst for the private sector, foreign investors and state partners.”
“Happy New Year to all our partners, to everyone. Health, happiness, love above all, and we hope to have a better year than 2025,” Tannousis concludes.
