Ecliptic Defence and Space was selected to participate in the recent Defence Industry Roundtable on Drone and Counter-Drone Solutions, hosted by the European Commission (DG-DEFIS) in Brussels.
According to a LinkedIn post by the company's Business Development Director, Maria Konstantinou, CEO Andreas Papanastasiou represented Ecliptic at the roundtable.
"The roundtable session was opened by the European Commissioner of Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius, who brought together leading European defence industry representatives to discuss the latest uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and counter-UAS technologies, assessed current industrial capabilities and identified opportunities for strategic cooperation at the EU level," the post said.
It continued that the roundtable discussion which addressed critical topics, "IncludingCurrent industry capacities and innovative solutions for drones and counter-drone solutions, barriers to rapid production scale-up and responsiveness to emerging threats, enabling interoperability across diverse drone systems and command & control frameworks."
"Participation in this high-level event reflects Ecliptic Defence and Space’s recognition as an emerging player in the European defence technology landscape and we are truly proud to have participated at this forum which targeted the support towards Europe’s preparedness, technological resilience and security, particularly in response to recent drone incursions in European airspace," the post concluded.
