Limassol Greens announces the official opening of its 18-hole championship golf course, designed by distinguished architect Cabell B. Robinson.

The opening of the course marks a major step in the evolution of Limassol Greens, a development in one of Limassol's most dynamic areas. Its location gives it a defining advantage, as Limassol Greens is the only golf resort positioned within a city in Cyprus. This rare proximity to the urban centre enhances its character and long-term investment value, offering residents and visitors direct access to major destinations including the Casino, Limassol Marina, Lady’s Mile beach and the wider business district, while maintaining a sense of calm and spaciousness within the resort.
The course has been carefully constructed to offer different rhythms of play throughout the round. The first five holes are shaped by the prevailing wind, requiring accuracy from the outset. From the 6th to the 11th hole, the wind shifts in the player's favour, creating opportunities for strategic scoring, while the distinctive run of holes from the 13th to the 15th demands control, creativity and thoughtful shot selection. The final stretch raises the challenge, culminating in a tough par-5 on the 16th, played into the wind; a par-3 on the 17th that demands precision; and a sweeping 18th hole played around a natural lake toward a long, narrow green that rewards confident club selection.
Alongside the course, Limassol Greens introduces a premium training environment through its TrackMan-integrated Driving Range, featuring 30 technologically advanced bays. The Golf Academy, designed to deliver a complete, modern training experience, offers personalised, data-driven development programmes, specialised areas for putting and chipping, grass tees, and premium Srixon balls and mats. Coaching is led by Golf Professional Mike Leitch, a qualified sports psychologist and certified TrackMan operator with more than three decades of experience improving golfers of all standards. His methodology focuses on simple, effective instruction tailored to each player’s needs, supported by monitored and measurable progress.

Sustainability has been integrated into every stage of development. The entire course and surrounding green areas are irrigated exclusively with recycled tertiary-treated water, in line with national policy and the official guidelines of the Water Development Department. Purpose-built water infrastructure, including artificial lakes and a storage network with a total capacity of 40,000 cubic metres, supports the collection and use of rainwater during the winter season, reducing reliance on state water resources. As part of its long-term environmental strategy, Limassol Greens is also undertaking an extensive greening programme across the development, with plans to plant 20,000 trees throughout the project.
