Due to high interest and a collective request from schools, the submission deadline for the Pancyprian Student Video Competition “Together We Stop Bullying” has been extended to April 7, 2026.
The competition is organized by the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation (YCF) in collaboration with the Education Ministry and MHV Group. It is open to students from public and private primary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, and technical schools. The initiative aims to raise awareness about school bullying and promote values such as empathy, acceptance, and cooperation within the school environment.
The initiative continues to mobilize the educational community across Cyprus, encouraging young people to express themselves creatively and send a strong message against school bullying.
By creating a one-minute video, students are encouraged to emphasize the importance of preventing and addressing bullying, showcase its various forms and impacts, and suggest ways to intervene and foster positive change within their school. The process promotes teamwork and empowers students to express themselves, positioning them as ambassadors for a safe and fear-free school environment.
The competition also stands out for its substantial prize pool, with total cash awards reaching €100,000. The first prize amounts to €50,000, the second to €20,000, while four additional prizes of €7,500 will be awarded to schools to support infrastructure upgrades and enhance the overall educational experience.
Videos must be original, in live-action format, one minute in duration, and created during the 2025–2026 school year. Each entry may include two to four students as actors, while larger groups can contribute to the creative and production process.
The final evaluation and award ceremony are expected to take place in May 2026.
The initiative represents a meaningful investment in the younger generation, fostering creativity, social awareness, and collaboration. At the same time, it highlights the role of education as a key pillar in shaping a more inclusive and safe society for all.
