House of Representatives President Annita Demetriou departs for New Delhi on Sunday for an official visit at the invitation of Lok Sabha (House of People) Speaker Om Birla.
A House of Representatives press release says that Demetriou will be received by India's President Droupadi Murmu and will also have separate meetings with the Vice President and Speaker of the Upper House (Rajya Sabha) Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan and with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who will host an official lunch in honour of Demetriou and her delegation.
A meeting will also be held with Chairman Shashi Tharoor and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Indian Parliament.
The House President and the parliamentary delegation will visit sites and monuments of historical and cultural interest.
The parliamentary delegation consists of MPs Nikos Tornaritis, Aristos Damianou and Christiana Erotokritou.
Demetriou will return to Cyprus on Friday, 28 November.
