The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment has announced that it is providing new opportunities to enhance the presence and exports of Cypriot wines in markets outside the European Union, through the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023–2027.
In a press release, the Ministry said that this action, implemented by the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organization (CAPO), aims to improve the competitiveness of the Cypriot wine sector and open new international markets for it.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the total available amount for this intervention reaches €300,000. The European participation covers up to 50% of eligible costs.
The action will be implemented from 2025 to 2027, with the possibility of extension in selected cases.
The Ministry of Agriculture invites interested parties to submit applications for participation by December 31, 2025, in accordance with the instructions of the Implementation Manual available on the CAPO website (www.capo.gov.cy).
