Nicodemos Damianou discusses priorities with AmCham EU ahead of Cyprus’ Presidency of the Council of the EU

Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation & Digital Policy Nicodemos Damianou met with a delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) to discuss his ministry’s priorities ahead of Cyprus’ upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU in January.

Taking to his social media platforms, Damianou thanked AmCham EU “for a productive and forward-looking discussion in Nicosia”. He added, “It was a pleasure to exchange views with senior representatives of the US business community in Europe on key priorities ahead of Cyprus’ upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU.”

The deputy minister said he values the insights and continued engagement of AmCham EU.

Back in September, AmCham EU AmCham EU welcomed Ambassador Giorgos Ioannides for a high-level exchange on shared priorities, including competitiveness, transatlantic relations, digital policy, healthcare and sustainability, among others. The Ambassador underlined Cyprus’ commitment to strengthening EU-US ties and driving forward a pragmatic agenda.

AmCham EU said it looks forward to “working closely with Cyprus on common objectives to help ensure a successful Presidency”.
