Shaul Keinan: “There’s a fine line between success and failure — hard work makes the difference”

Shaul Keinan, Managing Director and Co-Partner of Premium Access Group, brought over 15 years of experience in real estate and finance to INSPIRE 2025, where he spoke on The Global Entrepreneur Stage during the panel 'Breaking Borders: International Entrepreneurs Transforming Cyprus'.

“From the beginning, I was always oriented toward business,” he said. “I decided I wanted to be self-sustained — to make it or break it. I first started with law, then accounting, before moving into real estate.”

Together with his business partner, Keinan built a strong portfolio in Germany before deciding to “cross the border” and invest in Cyprus. Today, they are developing the Palm Beach Resort, a major project he describes as a significant long-term investment.

For Keinan, the biggest challenge has been learning to adapt. “The ability to adjust and understand market standards and regulations is crucial. Each market operates differently, and you learn over time. In fact, if you compare Cyprus to some countries people assume are more developed, you sometimes find the authorities and regulations here are even better. There’s an assumption Cyprus is behind — it is not.”

He pointed to the island’s advantages for entrepreneurs: “It starts with tax and ends with tax,” he said with a smile, “but it’s also the sun, the great food, the friendly people, and the safe environment.”

His message to young professionals in Cyprus was clear: “It doesn’t matter what you do, there are only two major lessons I can share. First, work very hard — don’t cut corners. Second, pray, because there’s always a fine line between success and failure, and sometimes things are out of your control. But if you work hard, you can minimise the damage.”

The discussion was moderated by Demetris Sparsis, Board Member, Invest Cyprus.
