The Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, George Papanastasiou, held an important meeting with TotalEnergies officials and participated in a high-level discussion at Gastech 2025, taking place in Milan.
Papanastasiou in a post on the platform X, says he had a constructive meeting with the CEO of TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanné, on the sidelines of the international Gastech 2025 conference.
The discussion focused on energy transition efforts, the collaboration between Cyprus and TotalEnergies in the Cypriot Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), as well as ongoing discussions regarding recent developments in Block 6, the Minster adds.

In a second post on X, the Minister referred to his participation in a thematic roundtable at Gastech 2025, which focused on shaping energy policy to enhance energy security and sustainability, while also ensuring affordability for consumers.
