Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean has launched the NYX Hotel Thessaloniki, a €25 million project that aims to redefine hospitality in the heart of the city.
The hotel is housed in a redeveloped building at the start of Tsimiski Street—unused for years—bringing new economic and cultural momentum to central Thessaloniki.

As the regional arm of the Fattal Hotels Group, Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean has been expanding in Greece and Cyprus since 2017.

Thessaloniki is the group’s first investment in Northern Greece, chosen for its cultural vibrancy, strategic location as a gateway to the Balkans, and its strong corporate and leisure demand.

The property offers 130 rooms and suites, conference facilities, co-working spaces, and design elements signed by Tatiana Violari, Gera1, and Kenneth Cobonpue.

It is positioned as both a business hub and lifestyle destination, reflecting the group’s investment philosophy: authentic experiences, contemporary design, and sustainable growth.

CEO Roni Aloni stressed the long-term vision: “We invest in cities with identity and future. Our aim is to redefine the relationship between hospitality and the urban experience, creating places that highlight culture, encourage creativity, and support entrepreneurship. Thessaloniki has all the elements to become a regional reference point, and we want NYX Hotel Thessaloniki to be a symbol of this dynamic.”

Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean currently operates 11 hotels in Greece and Cyprus, with plans to expand to 15 properties by 2026.
