CSR Cyprus elects new Board of Directors

CSR Cyprus successfully held its 9th Annual Electoral and General Assembly on Thursday, 3 July, 2025, at Lemon Park in Nicosia. The event was attended by representatives of Member organisations, partners, and institutional stakeholders.

Greetings were delivered by the Commissioner for the Citizen, Panayiotis Palates; the Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare, Antonia Theodosiou; and the Director General of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), Micheal Antoniou. All three congratulated CSR Cyprus for its ongoing contribution to public dialogue in Cyprus and for fostering inclusivity, while highlighting the importance of active partnerships in promoting the principles of sustainable development in the country.

During the review of CSR Cyprus’ activities for the period July 2024 – June 2025, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr Marinos Voukis, outlined key achievements including the growth of the Network—now comprising 75 Members—the expansion of collaborations, increased visibility and recognition, and the tangible value Members gain through their participation.

The Assembly also featured a presentation of the 2024 Financial Statements by the Association’s Treasurer, Kyriakos Siakallis. Members subsequently approved the proposed amendments to the Articles of Association, as read by Secretary Maria Mavridou.

As part of the Assembly proceedings, elections were held to appoint the new Board of Directors, which is composed as follows:

  • Chairman: Marinos Voukis (Cyprus University of Technology)
  • Vice Chair: Sotiroulla Sotiriou (Charalambides Christis Ltd)
  • Secretary: Maria Mavridou (Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company Ltd)
  • Treasurer: Kyriakos Siakallis (Cyta)
  • Members:
    • Doreen Dermidjian (Vassos Eliades Ltd)
    • Marina Kyriacou (ipH Iakovos Photiades Foodstuff Suppliers Ltd)
    • George Savva (Amdocs Development Ltd)
    • Maria-Anna Fortoma (Polyclinic Ygia Private Hospital)
    • Mariella Christodoulidou (Green Energy Group Ltd)

The strong attendance and active participation of Members at the Assembly underscores the vitality of CSR Cyprus and the shared commitment of its Member organisations to the promotion of corporate responsibility and sustainable development across Cyprus.
