Charis Kynigou named new Executive Member of AstroBank's Board of Directors

AstroBank has announced that Charis Kynigou has been appointed as an executive member of the Bank's Board of Directors with effect from 31 March, 2025, following the approval of the Central Bank of Cyprus.

Kynigou has been working at AstroBank since February 2015 and is currently the Head of the Private Banking Department. Banking, Treasury and ESG Division of the Bank. Between 2011 and 2015 she served as Head of Department at BNP Paribas Wealth Management ( Suisse ) S. A. for Greece and Cyprus, in Switzerland.

Previously, from 2007 to 2011, she served as Senior Relationship Manager at Private Banking at Piraeus Bank SA in Greece. Kynigou also served as Relationship Manager at Private Citibank Banking​ International Plc in Greece, and from 2002 to 2006 worked as an Account Manager at Telerate GREECE SA, while from 2017 to 2024s she served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Stock Exchange.

Kynigou graduated from the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASUEB) with a degree in Economics. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in Financial Economics from Cardiff Business School, University of Wales.
