Popi Hadjioannou Demetriou appointed Chief Retail Banking Officer of Alpha Bank Cyprus

Alpha Bank Cyprus has announced the appointment of Popi Hadjioannou Demetriou as the bank’s new Chief Retail Banking Officer, describing her as “a pivotal addition to our Executive Team.”

Her most recent previous position was at Eurobank Cyprus where Hadjioannou Demetriou was Head of the Affluent Banking Unit and then Head of the CEO’s Office.

As noted in a LinkedIn post, Hadjioannou Demetriou is a distinguished banking professional with over 30 years of experience.

“Hadjioannou Demetriou brings not only deep expertise but also a legacy of excellence, vision, and impact. Her career spans key leadership roles in Cyprus, including a longstanding and impactful tenure within our own Bank, where she previously served as Head of Financial Control, Treasury, and Retail Banking,” the post continued.

“Her return marks a significant milestone for Alpha Bank Cyprus. With her professionalism and strong focus on customer-centric banking, she is well positioned to lead our Retail Banking Division into a new era of innovation and growth,” the post concluded.

Hadjioannou Demetrriou had previously spent over 17 years at Alpha Bank Cyprus as Head of Finance, Head of Treasury and Head of Retail Banking.

She then joined Eurobank Cyprus where Hadjioannou Demetriou spent over eight years as Head of the Affluent Banking Unit and Head of the CEO’s Office.
