Cyprus-Germany Business Association holds networking event in Nicosia

Τhe Cyprus-Germany Business Association organised a networking event in Nicosia recently, bringing together professionals from various industries, enabling and encouraging meaningful conversations, new and renewed collaborations, and preparing the ground for new business opportunities.

According to a statement issued by the Association, the event was attended by Charalambos Prountzos, Mayor of Nicosia, and Philokypros Roussounides, Director General of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, who emphasized the importance of collaboration, innovation, and growth within the business community.

As stated, the CGBA keeps a close cooperation with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is itself a founding member of the Association, cooperates closely with the German Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Athens, while in parallel, it is supported in its efforts, among others, by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nicosia, the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Berlin, various Ministries in Cyprus such as the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus, and many other governmental and private institutions in Cyprus. The CGBA also retains close contact with several German Chambers of Industry and Commerce, as well as business and economy related German associations.

“Through this framework of partnerships, the CGBA strongly supports the businesses that would benefit from a stronger, and more organised, economic collaboration between the markets of Cyprus and Germany, further supported by both being members of the European Union. To that effect, members to the Association can be individuals and/or legal entities from Cyprus or Germany that have notable and distinguished contributions to the Business community. Such members also enjoy an important perk, which is that they get to attend the CGBA’s events with the goal of bridging any gaps between the two markets and fostering the spirits of cooperation and entrepreneurship”, it is noted.

The Association’s events attract the interested eyes and attendance of many different prominent entities and public figures of business and industry in Cyprus, the statement concludes.
