Cyprus' FM says Poland at EU helm can count on Nicosia's support

The Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed Poland at the helm of the EU Presidency and said it can count on Cyprus' support for a successful term.

In a post on "X", the FM said it welcomes "Poland at the EU helm for the next 6 months" and expressed its best wishes to the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU "for every success!"

It added, "you can count on Cyprus support for a productive and successful Trio Presidency" of the Council of the EU held by Poland, Denmark and Cyprus.

Cyprus will undertake the EU presidency in January 2026.
