Cyprus' first ambassador to Astana presents his credentials

Cyprus' first ambassador to Kazhakstan, Petros Nacouzis, was among the nine ambassadors who presented their credentials to the country's President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace recently.

Nacouzis conveyed the warm greetings of the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, to President Tokayev, who reciprocated, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release said.

After the nine ambassadors presented their credentials, President Tokayev delivered a brief address, emphasising that Kazakhstan follows a peace-loving foreign policy aimed at supporting peace and security both globally and regionally, noting that his country is an active player on the international stage, regularly hosting significant events and meetings.

President Tokayev emphasised that, as the largest economy in the region, Kazakhstan actively attracts investments from various countries and that its market is open for economic cooperation.
