New Helvetia: The historic hotel in Platres to reopen this year following radical renovation

Work is underway on the complete renovation of the New Helvetia Hotel, in Platres.

After 95 years of operation, the oldest operating hotel in Cyprus closed last autumn, in order to carry out the fifth major renovation in its history.

The hotel's radical facelift is expected to be completed soon, so that it can welcome its guests fully renovated in March 2025. The hotel will be able to host, among other things, weddings and events.
