Cyprus’ job vacancy rate remains at 3.0% in Q2 2024

The job vacancy rate for the second quarter of 2024 stood at 3.0%, consistent with the rate recorded in the first quarter of 2024 and slightly higher than the 2.9% rate recorded in Q2 2023.

According to data released by CySTAT, the number of job vacancies in the second quarter of 2024 rose to 13,778, marking a 5.8% increase (751 vacancies) compared to 13,027 vacancies in the same quarter of 2023. Quarter-on-quarter, job vacancies also increased by 4.1% (549 vacancies) from Q1 2024.

The highest vacancy rates were seen in Accommodation and Food Services (6.9%), Transportation and Storage (3.7%), and Information and Communication (3.4%).
