Cyprus President to address UNGA on 25 September, meet with Guterres

President, Nikos Christodoulides, is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York on 25 September, CNA has learned.

According to sources from the Presidential Palace, the President of the Republic is expected to depart for New York on 21 September to attend the United Nations General Assembly, on the sidelines of which he will meet with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, on 23 September.

President Christodoulides is to deliver his speech at the General Assembly on the morning of September 25 (New York time), while he will return to Cyprus on 29 September.

Asked about other meetings the President will hold while in New York, the same sources said they would be announced later.
