Energame fuels community impact via joining forces with Cyprus Red Cross Society

Energame and the Cyprus Red Cross Society-Limassol branch initiated a partnership to drive positive change.

This collaboration reinforces their commitment to the local community by boosting blood donations and encouraging corporate volunteerism. Energame employees actively contribute to volunteer initiatives by dedicating their time and skills. This engagement fosters a stronger sense of belonging, increased employee morale, and strong corporate culture.

The President of the Cyprus Red Cross Limassol Branch, Olivia Papadaki stated: “We are deeply grateful to Energame for their generous donation to our humanitarian programs. Their support will significantly enhance our ability to provide essential services and support to those in need. We extend our heartfelt thanks for their commitment to making a positive impact in our community”.

In the past, Energame’s employees have supported Red Cross Limassol through donations of first need’s products and through corporate volunteering. With the announcement of this collaboration, Energame aims to make a more substantial contribution to the local community. This partnership will facilitate a blood donation which will be open to the public, and enhanced food and supply packing initiatives from Energame’s employees for people and families in need.

Since 2012, the Cyprus Red Cross Limassol Branch has been housed at its own premises situated at 119 Ayias Phylaxeos street from where it can operate more efficiently in order to meet the needs of our fellow citizens who visit the offices on a daily basis. They are offered foodstuffs, clothing and footwear items, baby food, toys, and above all, much needed moral support and love.

The Cyprus Red Cross Society (CRCS) is an international humanitarian organization that specializes in disaster relief, emergency aid, and education. In 1950, the Red Cross in Cyprus was established as a division of the Red Cross in Great Britain. Following the Republic of Cyprus's founding, the Cyprus Red Cross Society (CRCS) was recognized as a voluntary aid society auxiliary to the government for humanitarian reasons and was founded as a body corporate under Law 39 of 1967. The Children Therapy Center 'Stella Soulioti' in Limassol is the organization's largest initiative in Cyprus. Children with severe physical impairments are cared for there up to the age of 22. In addition to providing food and clothing, the CRCS also provides wheelchairs, helps with all the enclave’s needs, First Aid training, blood donation coordination, emergency response and management, psychosocial support services, migrant needs, family tracing and restoration services, youth camps, and advocacy for social, environmental, and health issues.
