Cyprus Organization for Standardization and European Institute of Management & Finance sign MoU

The Director General of the Cyprus Organization for Standardization ( CYS ), Athina Panayiotou and the CEO of the European Institute of Management & Finance ( EIMF ), Marios Siathas recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoU).

The signing of this Memorandum, which took place at EIMF's offices on 23 July, is considered to be an important step towards strengthening the cooperation relations between the two organisations, a relevant announcement said.

In addition, the two organisations are aiming to work together within the framework provided by their respective areas of competence. Important areas of common interest and activity that have been identified, include Corporate Governance, Sustainable Finance, Financial Management and Compliance Management as well as training and research in joint projects, as well as the exchange of technical expertise with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge.

In a wider meeting between officials of the two sides, opinions were exchanged and it was agreed to implement an action plan that would stem from the said Memorandum. Actions will be jointly managed by directly concerned Executives and progress will be recorded and reviewed whenever deemed appropriate, the announcement concluded.
