Industrial Production up by an annual 6.1% in June

The Industrial Production Index rose by an annual 6.1% in June driven mainly by the annual gains in electricity production, data released by CySTAT show.

In June 2024 the Index reached 117.3 units (base 2021=100).

For the period of January – June 2024, the index recorded an increase of 5.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, CyStat added.

The manufacturing sector registered an increase of 2.1% compared to June 2023 while an increase was also observed in the sectors of electricity supply by 33.7%), mining and quarrying by 3.3% and water supply and materials recovery by 2.9%.
