American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo receives Invest Cyprus award

AUB Mediterraneo was awarded at the 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards presented by PwC Cyprus, in recognition of its contribution to the island and its past, present and future prosperity.

The award was delivered to Founding Rector of American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo, Wassim El Hajj, by the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Nicodemos Damianou, and the AMLCO and CRO of ECOMMBX, Vicky Christophidou.

The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) is an approved branch campus of the globally-ranked American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon.

Cyprus was selected for the location of AUB’s first twin campus outside Lebanon because of its commitment to academic freedom and its attraction to students.

In autumn 2024, AUB Mediterraneo will welcome students to a stunning new and sustainable campus in downtown Paphos, close to the sea. Students in Cyprus who excel in the Cypriot School Leaving Certificate (Apolytirion) exams can still apply to AUB Mediterraneo for autumn 2024 and benefit from at least 70% in scholarships for their entire duration of study.

The 12th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards presented by PwC Cyprus, pay tribute to major international investors active on the island.

Taking place at the Hilton Nicosia, the Awards are hosted by GOLD magazine and organised by Invest Cyprus, the official body the government has entrusted with the task of attracting foreign investment to Cyprus.
