Purpose Communications announces the launch of the 2nd cycle of Purpose Academy

Purpose Communications is excited to announce the launch of the second cycle of the Purpose Academy programme.

Following the success of last year's inaugural cycle, Purpose Academy continues its pioneering mission to empower civil society. Purpose Communications' expert team, alongside other professionals in Public Relations and Communications, will once again offer their knowledge and expertise pro-bono to benefit charitable and non-profit organizations.

Building on the achievements of the first training cycle, three new non-profit organizations will be selected to participate in the 2024 Purpose Academy programme, which will run for six months. Interested NGOs looking to enhance their strategic communications are invited to apply for one of the three coveted spots in this year’s programme by completing the application form on the Purpose Communications website.

Purpose Academy provides participating organizations with the opportunity to strengthen their employees’ and volunteers’ skills in public relations and communications. Participants will gain the expertise to develop and implement an effective communications strategy for their organizations. The programme includes monthly workshops covering a variety of topics such as Public Relations, Writing/Storytelling, Media Relations Development, Digital Communications, Advocacy/Fundraising campaigns, Recording & Measuring Campaign Effectiveness and Event Management. Additionally, one-on-one meetings will be organized between the participating organizations and the Purpose Communications team. Training sessions will be conducted in Greek.

Purpose Communications’ CEO, Dimitris Ioannides, commented on the launch of the second cycle: “We are thrilled to continue Purpose Academy, a programme dedicated to enhancing the communication capabilities of non-profit organizations. This initiative aligns with our vision of fostering a more connected, informed, and empowered civil society and underscores our commitment to purposeful communications. Our goal is to provide NGOs with the expertise they need to effectively share their message and engage with their communities. By participating in Purpose Academy, non-profits will gain invaluable skills and resources, empowering them to amplify their impact and drive positive change more effectively.”

Applications for the program are open until Friday, 31 May, 2024. After evaluating the applications, Purpose Communications will invite the three selected organizations to join the second cycle of Purpose Academy, which will commence in June 2024.
