Wizz Air marks 20th anniversary with €20,000 “once-in-a-lifetime prize”

Wizz Air is marking its 20th anniversary by offering one lucky customer the chance to win “€20,000 lifetime memories with WIZZ”; that is, the ability to take friends and family on as many trips as they like to the airline’s some 200 destinations globally until they reach the €20,000 limit.

Since its inaugural flight from Katowice in Poland to London Luton in May 2004, the airline has carried nearly 400 million passengers across its network.

Wizz Air is offering this once-in-a-lifetime prize package in recognition of this milestone.

For a chance to win, adventure-seekers should purchase a Wizz Air ticket and submit their booking code and name on Wizz Air’s 20th anniversary competition page between 19 May 2024 00:00 (GMT+1) until 21 May 2024, 23:59 (GMT+1). The competition is open to any tax resident of the countries to which Wizz Air operates, over the age of 18.

It is estimated that the winner could take up to 2,000 flights in their lifetime including routes to London, Paris, Rome, Vienna, Prague, Copenhagen and Athens.

Zsuzsa Trubek, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said: “Our 20th anniversary is a great opportunity to look back at the fantastic growth we have achieved in a highly competitive market. We’re incredibly proud to be the fastest-growing airline in Europe and would like to take the time to thank every passenger who has travelled with us over the years. To mark the occasion, we’re offering travellers a way to help us celebrate with a lifetime of flights to travel to their dream destinations.”

According to the CAPA – Centre for Aviation Awards for Excellence 2022-2023, Wizz Air is Europe’s fastest-growing and the most sustainable airline globally.
