Construction Materials Price Index down by 1.57% in April

The Construction Materials Price Index in Cyprus decreased by 1.57% in April 2024 compared to the same month in the previous year, according to CySTAT.

In April 2024, the index stood at 117.22 points (with 2021 as the base year at 100), marking a marginal increase of 0.02% compared to the previous month.

For the period from January to April 2024, the index recorded a decrease of 1.93% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

By main product category, decreases were recorded in metal products (-7.23%), while increases were noted in electromechanical items (2.29%), minerals (1.02%), mineral products (0.63%), and wood, insulation, chemicals, and plastics products (0.23%).
