Online applications for National Solidarity Fund reopen 14 May

Online applications for the Replenishment Scheme of the National Solidarity Fund – set up to support those affected by the 2013 “haircut” on deposits – will reopen at 10.30am on 14 May and remain open until 25 May.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the scheme’s beneficiaries are natural and legal persons who had the characteristics of a "retail client", and whose deposits and securities were impaired in 2013, due to the implementation of resolution measures at the island’s then two systemic banks (Bank of Cyprus and legacy Cyprus Popular Bank).

The submission of an electronic application for “Participation in the Replenishment Scheme of the National Solidarity Fund” is done through the government’s Cy Login portal (former Ariadne). Natural Persons with a Cyprus identity card or residence permit in Cyprus (ARC) as well as Legal Entities with a registration number in Cyprus will have to go through a registration and authentication process through the portal.

Registration on the Government Portal CY Login is also required for natural persons who do not have a Cyprus identity card and are not residents of Cyprus as well as legal entities that do not have a registration number in Cyprus. However, the authentication of their profile will be made through the listing and uploading of additional details and documents in several fields of the service.
