Chief Scientist Demetris Skourides recent visited Multimarine Services Ltd’s Limassol headquarters.

The group of companies provides Shipyard, Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, Heavy Lifting and Integrated Logistics Services in the Mediterranean and the Benelux Regions.

In a LinkedIn post, Skourides said, “As part of my commitment to meet industry partners and innovators, I had the opportunity last week to visit Multimarine. During the visit to Multimarine, I was introduced to the game-changing strategy of Multimarine and the importance of innovation in the maritime industry.”

He continued that during discussions at the site, “I was also introduced to the BlueBarge horizon project where Multimarine is part of a consortium that aspires to create a floating battery barge able to recharge with green energy the capacity required by vessels at sea.”

The Chief Scientist thanked the Founder and CEO of Multimarine, Renos Phokas and (Commercial Director) Pavlos Phokas for what he described as “the warm welcome and the thought-provoking conversation.”
