Sovereign Group: 25 years in Cyprus and the award ceremony (pics)

Smiles of joy filled the gallery space of the Municipal University Library in Limassol, during the award ceremony of the The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize Cyprus 2024.

To celebrate Sovereign Group’s 25-year presence in Cyprus, Sovereign Group organised “The Sovereign Art Foundation Student Prize Cyprus 2024”, which recognised the talent of high school students.

“The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize Cyprus 2024 Judges Prize”, was awarded to Anna Pigasiou from Lyceum Kykkos B’, for her artwork entitled “Freedom of Expression”. The winner’s cash prize was 2.000 euros, which will be shared between the winner and the school.

“The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize Cyprus 2024 Public Vote Prize”, was awarded to Sofia Mircheva from The International School of Paphos, for her artwork entitled “My Path to Balance”. The winner’s cash prize was 1.100 euros, which will be shared between the winner and the school.

Sovereign Group’s Managing Director in Cyprus, George Ayiomamitis, during his welcome address he stated that “The Student Prize celebrates the importance of art”.

In addition, he elaborated on the student prize’s aim to recognise young talents while at the same time reward successful secondary-school art programmes to the benefit of a greater number of students.

Ayiomamitis thanked all student and schools for their participation as well as congratulated them for their artworks.
