Shriners hospitals team conducting orthopaedic surgeries in Cyprus

A team from Shriners Hospitals for Children has arrived in Cyprus to perform surgical interventions and examinations on children with orthopaedic conditions.

Starting from 4 March and running until Thursday, 7 March, the doctors from Shriners Hospitals will carry out a total of seven surgical procedures. These operations are being carried out at the Archbishop Makarios III Hospital and the Apollonion Hospital, a Health Ministry press release said.

In addition to the surgeries, the Shriners team will provide their expertise to children from Cyprus as well as neighbouring countries through examinations conducted at the George and Thelma Paraskevaides Foundation.

Health Minister Michalis Damianos held a meeting on 4 March with administrative officials from Shriners, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Foundation, Costas Paraskevaides.
