The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize Cyprus 2024 Finalists

The talent of the 90 young artists that participated at the «The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize Cyprus 2024» amazed the judging panel.

Twenty finalists have been selected and will publicly exhibit their work from the 27th of March until the 4th of April at the Municipal University Library in Limassol. The award ceremony will take place on April 4 at 18:00. During the award ceremony, Sovereign Group Managing Director in Cyprus, Mr. George Ayiomamitis, will thank and congratulate all participants, through his welcome address, on behalf of the Sovereign Art Foundation!

The student awards aim to recognise the work of talented secondary-school level art students, to exhibit their work to a wide and engaged audience as well as to celebrate the importance of art in the education system, rewarding successful secondary-school art programmes to the benefit of a greater number of students. Mr. Ayiomamitis stated that “The awards celebrate the importance of art in the education system, by recognizing the quality of the artworks produced by the students” According to the Managing Director, through this charitable model, more than 10 million euros have been collected to date, for artists and charity organization throughout the world.

The audience will be able to vote for the young talents’ artworks via the Sovereign Art Foundation website or at the exhibition venue.

The judging panel

The members of the judging panel come from the world of art and culture, and consist of:

  • Howard Bilton, Founder and CEO of the Sovereign Art Foundation
  • Vassilis Vassiliades, Artist and Educator representing the Supervisory Office for Art of the Department of Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth
  • Efi Pilava, Artist and Educator
  • Dr. Evripides Zantides, Professor in Graphic and Visual Communication, Cyprus University of Technology

The winners will be awarded cash prizes up to 2000 euros. The winners will share their prizes will their school.
