EIB Vice President in Cyprus for contacts

Kyriacos Kakouris, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), is in Cyprus on an official visit where he will hold contacts with Cypriot officials in Nicosia.

According to the Finance Ministry, during his stay in Nicosia, Kakouris, who is accompanied by EIB loan officials, will inter alia meet with Cypriot Minister of Transport Alexis Vafeades, the Permanent Secretaries of the Ministries of Education and the Interior, as well as with the President of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus.

The meetings will cover the collaboration between Cyprus and the EIB and the bank’s activities in the context of joint efforts to support the Cypriot economy, the Finance Ministry added.

Furthermore, Kakouris will present the EIB financial results for 2023 and the activities of the bank in Cyprus in the same year, as well as the advisory service provided by the bank. Finance Minister Makis Keravnos will address the event.
