Industrial turnover in Cyprus up 1.3% in September

Cyprus’ industrial turnover rose by 1.3% in September 2024 compared to the same month last year, while an overall increase of 2.2% was recorded for the period January–September 2024, compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

According to CySTAT, in September 2024, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 143.5 points (base year 2021=100). The manufacturing sector saw significant growth, with the index climbing to 131.2 points, marking a 5.1% year-on-year increase.

Mining and Quarrying experienced the highest growth, recording a 13.8% increase in September 2024 compared to the previous year.

Electricity Supply and Water Supply and Material Recovery, however, declined by 9.5% and 1.2%, respectively.
