Development of Cyprus-US trade relations discussed by President and AHI members

The further development of trade relations between Cyprus and the US was among the issues discussed by the President Nikos Christodoulides and a delegation of the American Hellenic Institute (AHI).

After the 2 December meeting at the Presidential Palace, the President of the AHI, Nick Larigakis, told journalists that the AHI was founded after the 1974 Turkish invasion and this year marks its 50th anniversary and that is why this delegation from AHI came to Cyprus.

He added that with President Christodoulides they discussed some activities that AHI is currently promoting in Washington and that they will try to promote with the new US Government.

"We also talked about the trade relations that the President is now trying to develop with America and how we can help in this effort, and what role we can play to help in this area," Larigakis noted.
