Dinos Lefkaritis re-elected President of Larnaca Tourism Development and Promotion Company

Dinos Lefkaritis was re-elected President of the Larnaca Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) at a recent closed Extraordinary Statutory Assembly.

In a statement, ETAP said that Mayor of Larnaca Andreas Vyras has been elected Deputy President.

Members of the Board of Directors are Panagiotis Hadjiloizou (Deputy Ministry of Tourism), Angelos Hadjicharalambous (EAALarnaka), Sofoklis Sofokleous (Municipality of Lefkara), Christodoulos Papachristou (Union of Communities of Larnaka), Simos Mytidis (Community Council of Pyla), Marios Polyviou (PASYXE), Marios Ellinas (STEK), Victor Mantovani (ACTTA), Vassilis Konstantinou (ANETEL), George Aristeidou (Cyprus Agrotourism Company) and Georgia Poitaridou (Larnaka Rural Women's Association).

The following were elected as Deputy Councilors: Loukas Louka (EVEL), Neofytos Fakontis (Larnaca Municipality), Elina Christofidou (Deputy Ministry of Tourism), Alkis Anastasiadis (EOAL), Stavros Evangelou (Lefkara Municipality), Stavroulla Vassiliou (Union of Communities of Larnaca), Stavros Stavrou (PS Pylas), Ioanna Florentiadou (PASYXE), Andreas Papouis (STEK), Antonis Orthodoxos (ACTTA), Konstantinos Antoniou (ANETEL), Evi Panagiotou (Cyprus Agrotourism Company) and Margarita Karagiorgis (Larnaca Rural Women's Association).

The Larnaca Tourism Development Authority, as noted in the announcement, “plays a decisive role in the tourism development of the Region as it is the body that coordinates and brings together all the public and private sector bodies and organisations directly and indirectly involved in tourism”. It is also added that “it contributes to the development and improvement of the tourism product and special forms of tourism, implements the region’s tourism strategy and annual action plans and undertakes targeted promotion actions in priority markets”.
