CBN Young Dragon Award in Financial Services goes to Christos M. Ioannou

Christos M. Ioannou, Head Private & Affluent Banking at Bank of Cyprus, has been named the Young Dragon in the Financial Services category at the first CBN Young Dragon Awards.

Ioannou was awarded during a ceremony at Nicosia’s Municipal Theatre on 2 December.

As the first Chief Transformation Officer at Bank of Cyprus, Christos M. Ioannou has demonstrated exceptional leadership by driving pivotal initiatives that have significantly enhanced the Bank's performance and efficiency. His strategic vision was evident in the development and launch of innovative products such as Quick Loans while, under his leadership, the branch network was re-organised with remarkable efficiency.

He also spearheaded the creation of a new sales team, effectively boosting sales through digital channels, and led the segmentation of the Bank's client base through advanced data analytics, enabling the tailoring of product offerings to meet diverse customer needs. His oversight of the Bank's culture change programme led to the introduction of initiatives like the Intrapreneurship competition and the launch of the BoC Academy.
