Cyprus Institute and Human Resource Development Authority agree to cooperate

The Cyprus Institute and the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA) have signed a memorandum of cooperation and two agreements aimed at organising and implementing training programmes on digital skills and the green economy.

The training programmes will be offered free of charge. Eligible participants include employees in the private, public, and semi-public sectors, self-employed individuals, and unemployed individuals.

The agreements provide for the implementation of approximately 80 training programmes, targeting the training of more than 1,000 people in areas such as:

Digital Skills

  • Virtual Environments
  • Programming for Digital Humanities and Digital Cultural Heritage
  • Generative Artificial Intelligence for Various Professions

Green Economy

  • Renewable Energy Sources
  • Desalination Using Renewable Energy Sources
  • Water Resource Management
  • Open-Source Technologies for Environmental Management

The two agreements pertain to projects funded by the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Facility - NextGenerationEU - under the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan.
