Alphamega Hypermarkets host Christmas tree lighting ceremony

Christmas magic came to life at Alphamega Hypermarkets, as the chain welcomed the most joyous season of the year with festive lights and joy.

The Alphamega Hypermarkets in Engomi, Paphos Aphrodite and Kapsalos were filled with children’s voices, laughter and Christmas melodies during the Christmas tree lighting ceremonies that took place on 23 November.

Santa Claus, along with his elves and reindeers welcomed children and adults alike to a festive evening full of surprises, games, treats, music and spectacular fireworks. Mix FM radio’s producers provided the soundtrack to the events, through three simultaneous Live Links creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The Engomi event was made even more special as attendees had the opportunity to watch a live stream of all the other tree-lighting shows happening at the chain’s stores in Kapsalos Limassol and Paphos Aphrodite.

Sweet treats, face painting, balloons, arts & crafts, Christmas mascots and presents given away by Santa Claus also attracted the interest of the children, who are arguably at the centre of every holiday season. Children also had the opportunity to prepare delicious Christmas goodies with the help of the Brand Ambassador of Alphamega Hypermarkets, chef Christina Christofi at a designated cooking space. At the same time, since Christmas holidays are synonymous with delight, carefree moments and joy for everyone, grown-ups also had the opportunity to enjoy treats, cocktails and surprises that could not be absent from Alphamega Hypermarkets’ events, while dance performances further added to the festive atmosphere.

Meanwhile, attendees had the opportunity to actively support Hope for Children, by making a donation or by buying products available onsite, the proceeds from which will go towards supporting humanitarian organisation “Hope for Children” CRC Policy Centre.

It should be noted that attendees of the Engomi event also had the opportunity to watch the first screening of the chain’s Christmas TV advert for this year. With the slogan “Alphamega Hypermarkets: We know how to do Christmas”, the commercial’s little heroes remind everyone that the holidays mean joy, warmth and love.

The event culminated with the screening of the Christmas movie “The Grinch” on the big screen. The bleachers that were set up for this purpose, became filled with children and adults who cuddled up with blankets provided by Alphamega and watched the movie while enjoying popcorn and hot chocolate.
