CySEC powers on with financial literacy lectures in schools

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is powering on with its financial literacy lectures in schools, with CySEC Officer Konstantinos Papageorgiou delivering another educational lecture to the students of Archibishop Makarios III Lyceum in Dasoupoli, Nicosia.

“The core of the lecture focused on the investment risks lurking on the internet and social media platforms,” CySEC said. “The students had the opportunity to understand the importance of financial literacy and to be informed about basic money management issues.”

These lectures are part of CySEC's strategy to promote financial literacy, inspired by the global campaign #WorldInvestorWeek2024.

Its aim is to equip the new generations with fundamental knowledge and skills to protect themselves from financial fraud.
