eBOS participates in plenary meeting for XGain project

eBOS participated in the plenary meeting of the XGain project in Thessaloniki on 2-3 October, Greece, where the 17 XGain partners gathered to review progress and make key decisions to fine-tune the project’s final phase.

Dr Panayiotis Klitou, R&D Project Manager at eBOS, presented the latest advancements in developing the XGain Knowledge Facilitation Tool (KFT). This tool supports business development and decision-making in selecting connectivity technologies and processing enablers for rural, coastal, and urban areas. Dr Klitou also outlined the testing plan for XGain technologies and discussed the organisation of the six final Use Case workshops, in which end-users and stakeholders will validate the tool and assess its impact.

The XGain project promotes sustainable, balanced, and inclusive development in rural, coastal, and urban regions. It aims to increase systemic resilience, improve energy efficiency, contribute to climate change mitigation, and reduce the digital divide between different populations, sectors, and regions. The KFT will provide stakeholders with access to a comprehensive inventory of smart XG, last-mile connectivity, edge computing solutions, and an assessment of their socio-economic and techno-environmental impacts.
