President: Cyprus' strategy for Higher Education due in May

A comprehensive strategy to revise and improve the country’s Higher Education structure is due to be delivered by May the latest, according to President Nikos Christodoulides.

The President revealed the news while addressing the naming ceremony of the "Christodoulos Sozos Rectorate Building” at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), where the foundation stone of the laboratories of the University's Fine Arts Department was also laid.

“As a Government we invest in quality education, and in the near future we will publish - by May at the latest - our Strategy for Higher Education, which is currently under consultation," said Christodoulides.

A relevant meeting was held recently in the presence of the Ministers of Education, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Interior and Labour to discuss the matter, he added.
